On health, ADGAS has developed
a full health surveillance program together with an occupational
health risk monitoring program which will be implemented during
the life cycle of this plan. These programs are designed to monitor
and assess the health effects of the industrial environment on
homogeneous group of employees and to develop risk reduction measures
to further minimize the effects of ADGAS operation on our employees.
Physical & chemical factors such as noise , heat |
 |
stress, dust, hydrogen sulphide, sulfur di-oxide etc. that influence the
work place environment are closely monitored and corrective measures are
suggested accordingly.
ADGAS continuously review all hazardous substances used
in the plant and other area. The outcome of such review has resulted
in the introduction of many safer and eco friendly replacements. Some
of the replacements are listed below:
1. Asbestos(CAF) gaskets with compressed graphite /glass fibre
2. Hydrazine, a known carcinogen used in boiler, with Diethyl Hydroxilamine(DEHA)
3. Acid cleaning of boiler/heat exchangers with friendlier replacement chemicals.
